Project Context
Chalix Properties commissioned two exceptional homes in Towersey, designed by Enza Architects to thoughtfully bridge contemporary design and rural context. The scheme's material palette - combining black timber cladding with local limestone and slate - required visuals that would:
- Communicate the architectural nuance of modern forms harmonising with natural materials
- Accurately represent Cecilia Halling Howells' bespoke interior schemes and crafted joinery
- Establish the homes' relationship to their equestrian-adjacent setting through thoughtful composition
Visual Strategy
Our team developed a comprehensive visual narrative through three key approaches:
1. Architectural Fidelity
- Crafted summer evening views to showcase how low-angle sunlight accentuated material textures
- Integrated subtle landscape cues (mature planting, pasture views) to anchor the homes in their context
- Used on-site photography to ensure accurate topographical relationships in all exterior renders
2. Interior Storytelling
- Precisely modelled Cecilia Halling Howells' custom joinery from technical drawings
- Developed vignettes highlighting functional elegance:
- A boot room with quality outerwear and footwear
- Kitchen details featuring artisanal tableware
- Rendered material interactions with particular attention to light behaviour on different surfaces
3. Contextual Living
- Composed a summer gathering scene to demonstrate garden usability
- Maintained daytime skies in evening shots for architectural clarity
- Focused on authentic contemporary living rather than stylistic trope.
